Terms And Conditions
- In order to complete their Film Studies qualification, students will be supplied with a school-owned iPad for the duration of the course. Students must agree to the following terms...
- Your iPad has been loaned to you for the purposes of completing your Film Studies qualification.
- Loaned equipment remains property of the school and should be returned in good condition at the end of the loan period (the day of your final exam) or when you no longer attend the school.
- You should ensure any work is backed up before returning equipment.
- Problems with or damage to equipment should be reported to the school promptly so that appropriate repairs or replacements can be considered
- iPads are covered by accidental damage insurance provided the iPad remains in a protective case at all times and a screen protector is applied immediately upon issue.
- Loaned computer equipment may report inappropriate misuse back to the school’s designated safeguarding leads and/or HET IT services. Inappropriate content on devices will be treated as inappropriate content in school.
- Nothing on your iPad is private. Assume everything, including network traffic, can be seen by your teacher and other members of staff.
- Failure to follow the rules and use your iPad responsibly will result in it being withdrawn. Students whose iPads have been withdrawn will be given an exercise book and will still be expected to compete all the work set.
- It is your responsibility to ensure your iPad is brought fully working and fully charged to all Film Studies lessons.
- Your iPad comes pre-loaded with a selection of apps you will need throughout the course. These must not be removed.
- It is your responsibility to back-up important work. You have been assigned a generous amount of storage space in iCloud (200GB) and on your school OneDrive (1TB).
- If the iPad's local storage becomes insufficient to complete your Film Studies work, you will be expected to delete personal apps and data to rectify this.
- Any work lost through carelessness will need to be re-done with no alteration to deadlines.
- Use of your iPad will be directed by your teacher. You must put it down, screen off, cover closed when requested to do so.
- You may connect your iPad to your home network, but no technical support will be offered with this.
- The IT department can wipe and restore your iPad to its initial state upon request, but this will result in all data that you haven't backed-up being lost.
